One-on-one care in Lauderdale Lakes
Clear safety and rebooking guidance

Wetting a cat takes two minutes. Drying one properly takes most of the appointment, and in this humidity a cat handed back damp stays damp for hours. Lauderdale Lakes gets worked as the dense residential blocks and the condo and villa sections off NW 31st Avenue.

Does Your Cat Need a Cleaner Coat Without the Salon Stress in Lauderdale Lakes?

The longer a coat is left, the more it clumps. A wash that would have been simple turns into coat work. Coat, skin, and claws are checked first. Matting or sore skin changes whether a bath is even the right service. The cat goes back dry and warm. A damp cat loses heat quickly, so drying is not treated as optional. Around Lauderdale Lakes we plan for condo rules, guest parking, narrow lots, transit traffic, service entrances, and senior-community access. Claws are trimmed during the same appointment, since the cat is already handled and a second session is worth avoiding. A shedding cat benefits more from coat work than from washing. The two are usually planned together. You are told the cost before the van arrives. Anything that would change it is raised at the assessment rather than at the end.

Why Choose Dogi's for Cat Bath

Warm water, full rinse, real drying.

The same groomers do the cat work, which matters because cats respond badly to unfamiliar handling and tend to remember it. Owners usually tell us the difference shows in how the pet handles the session rather than in how the coat looks afterwards.

I just got all three of my pups done by Antonio. He did a phenomenal job with my crazy pups. I have a 1 year old male German shepherd who is very energetic Antonio got him done in 40 mins and trimmed him up to look like a gorgeous show pup. My 4 year old black lab who will not let anyone touch her nails and hates the dryer came back dry and nails cut! My highly highly anxious pitbull is in the van now and I’m sure Antonio can handle it! Thank you guys I will be using you all the time and referring my friends!

Our Cat Bath Process

Where the time actually goes.

1. Describe coat and skin Greasy, flaking, fine, or matted, and anything diagnosed. 2. Time booked for the drying Not the washing, which is the quick part. 3. Dry to the skin before handover A damp long coat is a skin problem forming.

A Team Prepared for Cat Bath

Products are formulated for cats, tools are cleaned between animals, and water temperature is checked rather than estimated. The humidity here dictates how long drying takes. We schedule around it rather than rushing a coat that is still damp at the end, since that is where skin problems start.

What temperature is the water?

Comfortably warm and deliberately not hot. Hot water strips the oils out of skin and makes any existing itch worse, and cats feel it sooner than dogs do. For a cat with inflamed skin it is kept cooler still.

What slows a Lauderdale Lakes appointment down?

Access, almost always. The particular obstacles around here are scarce on-street space, cars filling every driveway, narrow interior lanes, and association parking rules. Sorting those out before the date is the difference between a visit that happens and a van parked somewhere it cannot work.

Would a medicated bath from you replace the one my vet suggested?

No. If a veterinarian has prescribed a medicated wash on a schedule, that is treatment and it belongs with them or with you at home. What we can do is apply their product properly during a normal appointment, which many owners find easier than doing it themselves.

My cat is on medication for its skin.

Tell us what and why. Some treatments make skin more fragile or react badly to particular products, and some indicate a condition where a bath is a bad idea that week. It rarely rules an appointment out and it should never be a surprise.

Do you towel dry if I ask?

Yes, and it takes considerably longer. For a cat that panics at a dryer it is the right call and we plan the extra time in. What we will not do is hand back a cat that is still wet because the drying was cut short.

Can a bath be done the same week as a vaccination?

Better to leave a few days. A cat is often a little off after a vaccination and the injection site can be tender, so stacking a stressful handling session on top of it achieves nothing. Book either side of it instead.
