Mobile Nail Caps in Tavernier, A Short Stop
One-on-one care in Tavernier
Clear safety and rebooking guidance
Caps go over freshly cut nails and the adhesive needs quiet minutes to set, so the appointment ends with the pet sitting still doing nothing. Let a cat go early and the caps come off with it. No water or hookup is needed, which makes this a simple stop even on a tight Tavernier drive.

Sharp Scratches and Damaged Furniture? Nail Cap Care Comes to Tavernier.
Once a set has grown out, the scratching resumes exactly as before. The gap between sets is where the damage happens. You are told when the set will need replacing, which is generally as the nail grows out rather than a fixed date. If the animal will not tolerate a full set, we fit what we can. A partial set beats a fight. Tavernier access tends to involve shared drives, creek and marina traffic, narrow lanes, gates, and mile-marker congestion. If the coat is also due, grooming and capping fit into one visit rather than two separate calls. In homes with more than one scratcher, all of them can be capped in a single appointment. What you are quoted is what the visit costs. Extra time for a difficult coat gets discussed before it is spent, not added on afterwards.

Why Choose Dogis for Nail Caps
Trimmed, fitted, then left to cure.
We will not cap a split or infected nail to get a set on. That turns a small problem into a painful one. Most of our Keys work now comes from households we already groom on a set cycle. That is the only kind of referral that really counts for a service like this.
- Tavernier route timing reviewed before the van leaves
- Parking, gates, and building access confirmed for Tavernier
- Calm, one-on-one nail caps with no cages and no waiting room
- One real base in Doral, never a fake Tavernier address

Our Nail Caps Process
The waiting is part of the job.

A Team Prepared for Nail Caps
We do not cap over damaged nails and we do not fit caps on an animal that is genuinely distressed by handling. Appointments run in set windows so that driving between island stops does not push your time back. The schedule is built around the highway rather than against it, which is why arrival times hold.

Tavernier Nail Caps FAQs
Clear answers about coverage, access, scheduling, and the details Dogi’s needs before confirming a visit.
Are caps for cats only, or dogs too?
Mainly cats, and that is where they make sense. Dogs wear them off quickly on hard ground and rely on their nails for grip, so caps tend to be pointless or unhelpful. If a dog is damaging skin by scratching, regular trimming is the better answer.
Do the colors and sizes matter?
Size does, a great deal. A cap too large slides off and one too small presses. Color is purely cosmetic. Getting the size right for each toe, including the smaller ones, is most of what makes a set last.
One came off after two days. Is that normal?
One or two early losses are common, usually where the nail was hardest to get fully dry or the cat worked at it. Losing most of a set in a few days is not, and points at sizing or the nails needing a closer trim first. Tell us and we will look at it.
Can kittens have them?
Better to wait. Kitten nails grow and change shape quickly, so caps are outgrown almost immediately, and a kitten is still learning that paw handling is fine. Regular gentle nail trims teach the right lesson and cost nothing.
Do they have to be removed, or do they fall off?
They shed naturally with nail growth over several weeks, one at a time. They should never be pulled off, since that takes nail with them. If one is still hanging on awkwardly, leave it and mention it at the next visit.
Will caps damage the nail underneath?
Not when they are sized correctly, applied to a properly trimmed nail, and allowed to shed on their own. The damage comes from caps left on long after the nail has outgrown them, or pulled off by hand, which takes nail with them. Check the paws weekly and let them come away naturally.
