What is a sanitary trim?

Should I shave my dog for the summer heat?
For a single-coated breed, a shorter cut is reasonable. For a double-coated dog it usually backfires, because that coat insulates against heat and often grows back patchy. De-shedding the dead undercoat cools a dog more effectively than shaving it. We will tell you which category yours falls into.
My dog has snapped at a groomer before. Will you take him?
